Barcelona news: Real Madrid think Antoine Griezmann will join Barca

REAL MADRID’S Club World Cup triumph was soured by news Barcelona are closing in on Antoine Griezmann, according to reports.

Barcelona appear to be in pole position to sign Griezmann from Atletico Madrid at the end of the season.

The Catalan giants’ president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, has met with the player’s family as they aim to beat the likes of Manchester United to his signature.

And, amid news Barcelona had taken a giant step towards Griezmann’s signing, Real Madrid players supposedly did not receive the information well.

Spanish outlet Diario Gol claims that, upon learning that the 25-year-old is likely to become a Barcelona player, Real’s celebrations yesterday fell flat.
