Following the huge welcome received by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in Kano state, the party’s chairman, Uche Secondus, said the party’s success at the forthcoming poll is certain.
Secondus and another party chieftain, former Kano state governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, declared that it is over for the opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, the Cable reports.
Addressing the thousands of youths who attended the PDP rally in Kano, Kwankwaso, popularly known as Kwankwasiyya, said the state belongs to PDP.
He said: “Today, Kano people and particularly, the youths have shown that Kano is for PDP and Kwankwasiyya.”
Meanwhile, Atiku, who couldn’t address the large audience until 6pm in the evening, promised that his priorities would be the revitalization of agriculture, industries and commercial activities so as to boost the economy which he said has been killed by the APC government.
